Social Development Minister Sisisi Tolashe has pledged her assistance and commitment to bettering South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) providers for the duration of an engagement together with the company's senior professionals in a strategic arranging session in Cape Town.
Tolashe on Tuesday expressed her heartfelt congratulations to the many social grant beneficiaries, who excelled from the 2024 matric exams.
With the 724 156 full-time learners who registered to the National Senior Certification (NSC), 572 338 are social grant beneficiaries, representing 81% with the registered pupils from the education sector.
These learners attained a commendable pass rate of 86%.
"This indicates the investment government is earning inside the life of weak and susceptible youngsters is yielding a constructive impression in breaking intergenerational poverty," Tolashe claimed.
